Cudahy

Cudahy is located at 42°5654N 87°5140W (42.948416, 87.861010) According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.76 square miles (12.3 km²) The city is next door to the Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport. The population was 18,204 at the 2020 census. The city was originally known as the Buckhorn Settlement. It was incorporated as a city with a population of 2,556 in 1906. It is located in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, near the city of Milwaukee and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. It has an estimated population of 18,200, with 8,000 people living in the city. The average household size is 2.32, with the average family size being 2.94, according to the 2010 census. CudahY High School District provides public education for the area for those under 18 and those over 63 years of age. The high school is located on the campus of the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, which was founded in 1875. The school is one of the oldest in the state. It opened in 1881. The town is home to a number of historic landmarks, including the Milwaukee Opera House and the Wisconsin State Capitol, which were built in 1883. The Cudahs are a part of the Wisconsin Dells region, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Dells are also home to the Wisconsin Creamery.

History

Originally known as the Buckhorn Settlement, it was renamed in the late 1800s. Patrick Cudahy purchased 700 acres (280 ha) of land in the Town of Lake, two miles (three kilometers) from the Milwaukee city limits, to build his meatpacking plant. The first village president was elected in 1895, and by 1906 the city was incorporated as a city with a population of 2,556. It is located on the Wisconsin River, about two miles from the city of Milwaukee and about three kilometers from the town of Lake.

It is located on the Milwaukee River, which flows through the center of the city. The town is located in the Wisconsin River Valley, which runs through the middle of the town. It was named after the town of the same name, which was founded in 1881. The Cudahys live in a suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which is located near the city of Milwaukee and the Milwaukee-Milwaukee International Airport, where the airport is located. It also has a small suburb of Waukesha, Wisconsin that is just outside the city, called Waukegan. The population of the village is 2,638. The village has a little over 4,000 residents, according to the Census Bureau. The area is mostly wooded, but the city also has some undeveloped areas. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 9.7%. The median age was 40.3 years, with 21.5% of residents under the age of 18; 7.8%; 26.6%; 28.3% were from 25 to 44; and 15.7%; 65 or older. The gender distribution was 49.1% male and 50.9%. The per capita income for the city is $19,615. About 5.6%. of families and 8.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 11.1%. of those under age 18 and 6.3. of those age 65 or over. The average household size was 2.26 and the average family size was2.94. The age distribution was 23.0% under the Age of 18, 8.0%. of residents were between the ages of 18 and 24. For every 100 females, there were 95.6 males. There were 92.9 males. for every 100 Females age 18. and over.

Education

The Cudahy School District provides public education for the area. St. Paul's Lutheran School is a K48 Christian grade school of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod in Cudahsy. Cudas High School is the local high school. The district is part of the Waukesha County School District, which also includes Wausau, Wauwatosa, and La Crosse. The school district is a member of the National Board of Education of the American Federation of Teachers (NAFTA) and the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). The district also has a number of private schools in the area, including Cudashery High School and Cudhyside High School, which is a private school for boys and girls. The area is also home to the Wisconsin Center for the Arts, which was founded in the early 1900s. It is a non-denominational, non-sectarian school that teaches English, math and science. It was the first school in the state of Wisconsin to open its doors to the public in 1903. It has since become a magnet school for students from all over the state and the United States. It also offers a variety of other programs, such as music and drama, including a band program and a dance program. It opened its doors in the 1950s and has been in the same location ever since. It closed in the 1970s and moved to a new location in the town of Waukeeside, Wisconsin.

Government

Cudahy is represented by Gwen Moore (D) in the United States House of Representatives, and by Ron Johnson (R) and Tammy Baldwin (D), in the U.S. Senate. Chris Larson (D) represents CudahY in the Wisconsin State Senate, and Christine Sinicki (D?) represents CUDahy in theWisconsin State Assembly. CUDAHy is located on the shores of Lake Winnebago, which was once a part of the Wisconsin Dells. The town has a population of about 2,000. It is located near the town of Waukesha, which is on the Dells Peninsula, on the Wisconsin-Wisconsin border. The city was once part of Wisconsin's Dells peninsula, but has since become part of a larger Dells area. The Dells are on the eastern edge of the Great Lakes region, and the Wisconsin River runs through the town. The Wisconsin River flows through the center of the town, and runs into Lake Winnecke, which runs along the Wisconsin Dells River. The waterway was built in the 1800s, and was named after the town's founder, William C. "Bill" Winneckel, who was born in the town and moved to the town in 1875. The current mayor, Chris Larson, was elected to the state legislature in 1998. He was re-elected in 2008, and in 2010, he was elected again to a second term in the state Assembly.
