The borough has a total area of 0.8 square miles (2.1 km²), of which 0.1 sq miles (0.26 km²) is water. At the 2010 census, the borough was 89.6% non-Hispanic White and 3.4% of the population were of Hispanic or Latino ancestry. The population was 3,494 at the 2020 census. Spring City is a member of the Spring-Ford Area School District. It is home to the Spring City High School, a public high school, and Spring City Middle School. The school is located in the borough of Spring City. It also has a junior high school and a high school. It was the site of the U.S. military's highest decoration, the Medal of Honor, for actions in World War II. It has been home to a number of notable people, including Sherwood H. Hallman and Chuck Sheetz, Emmy Award-winning animation director for The Simpsons, and Ham Wade, Major League Baseball player for the New York Giants. Spring City is home to the Spring City School District. The borough's population was 1,071 at the 2010 census. The school district has an enrollment of 1,081. The town's population has declined from 1,094 in the early 1990s to 1,061 in the mid-2000s, according to the Census Bureau. It has a population of 903, up from 903 in the late 1990s. It is the only borough in the state of New Jersey to have a post-secondary education program. It also has a high school program, Spring City High School, which was founded in 1903. It was the first high school to graduate from Spring City in the United States. The high school has a junior high program, which began in the 1950s. The senior high program ended in the 1970s, when Spring City was founded. It now has a senior high school, which started in the 1980s, and an adult high school (Spring City High). Spring City has an elementary school that opened in the 1990s, which is located in the town's downtown area.
