Sicklerville is an unincorporated community located within Winslow Township in Camden County, New Jersey, United States. It was founded in 1851 by John Sickler, who lived in the area when the present-day town was located within Gloucester Township. The area is served as United States Postal Service ZIP Code 08081. In 1886, there were only ten residences in Sicklerville. In the 2010 census, the town had 50,589 people, 17,007 households, and 13,209 families living in the town. The racial make-up of the town is 45.3% White, 44.9% African American, 0.3%. Native American, 4.1% Asian, 2.0% Pacific Islander, and 3.1%. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 7.0%. In the 2000 census,there were 42,891 people, 14,066 households, and 11,342 families. The town has a population of 51,589. The population is 51.9 per cent female and 48.1 per cent male. The median household income was $79,746 and the median family income was $90,510. The per capita income for the town was $31,468. About 5.4% of families and 7.3 per cent of the population were below the poverty line, including 11.8% of those under age 18 and 5.5% ofThose age 65 or over.

History

Sicklerville is the primary city name, but also Erial are acceptable city names or spellings. Sicklerville was founded as "Sickler Town" in 1874. In 1886, there were only ten residences in Sicklerville. Today, the Post Office is located near the original location on sicklerville Road. The post office also services contiguous addresses in portions of Gloucester Township and Washington Township. In 1874, Paul H. Sickler was appointed the first Postmaster. He died in 1875, and his descendants still live in Winslow Township. The Post Office was established by Paul Sickler, who was the town's first postmaster. It was named after his father, who also lived in the town. It is located in the heart of the town, near the former location of the Sickler Town Post Office. The town has a population of about 2,000 people, mostly residents of Winslow and Gloucester townships. It also has a small percentage of residents who live in Washington Township, Gloucester County, and Washington County, New Jersey. The city is located on the Ohio Turnpike, which was built in 1859. It has a total population of 2,200. It's located in Winsllow Township, New Hampshire, and portions of Washington County and Washington, D.C., New Jersey, along with Gloucester and Washington Counties, including parts of Washington Township and Gloucester Township, Pennsylvania, and parts of Gloscester and Glorcester counties. The per capita income for the town was $21,903. About 4.8% of families and 5.8%. of the residents were below the poverty line, including 7.3. of those under age 18 and 4.2% of those age 65 or over. The average household size was 3.05 and the average family size was3.41. The age distribution was 31.4% under the age of 19, 6.1%. from 19 to 24, 27.7% from 25 to 44, 27%.3% from 45 to 64, and 7.5%. The median age was 35.3 years. The population is 51.9%. female and 48.1%; the median age is 38.7. For every 100 females, there are 85.4 males; for every 100 males there are 88.7 males.

Houses of worship

Places of worship in Sicklerville include: two Baptist churches and one Catholic church. St. Charles Borromeo Shrine is the second-oldest church in the city. The city is home to the U.S. Army Air Force Base, which was built in the 1950s. The U.N. Embassy in Washington, D.C. is based in the town. The airport is located in the heart of the city and has a population of around 2,000. The town is also home to a number of non-profit organizations, such as the S.A.R.E. Foundation, which provides support to the local community. The Sicklville Chamber of Commerce is the city's oldest and largest business. It was founded in 1881 and is still in operation today. It is located on the banks of the Potomac River, which flows through the city to the north and the south. It also has its own airport, which opened in 1883. The hospital was built on the site of a former sawmill in the early 1900s. It has been in the same location since the mid-20th century. The church was built over 131 years ago and is one of the oldest churches in the area. It's also the second oldest Catholic church, having been built over 127 years ago. The oldest Methodist church is also in the village. It dates back to the early 1800s and is the town's first church, built in 1851.
